42 reunião Madeira Consórcio (Agricultura ) 26.9.2013 Olá equipe,

tivemos um encontro emocionante! Rodrigo é da Ponta do Sol, estava no exército por oito anos, depois foi como voluntário para o Haiti e lá aprendeu como construir sanitas de compostagem (saneamento seco). Ele agora vive aqui e ensina as pessoas sobre compostagem de dejetos humanos em adubo, permacultura e um estilo de vida mais natural – use menos, gastar menos, poupe mais!

N. trouxe-nos um tijolo feito de 75% lascas de madeira e de 25% papel, ele construiu uma máquina mecânica simples, mas eficaz para pressionar os tijolos (100 tijolos / hora, ele vende uma máquina por cerca de 200 €). Os tijolos queimam lentamente (25 – 30min) e bem (melhor em um fogão foguete), com pouca fumaça, e são bons para churrascos, lambiques, e outros sistemas de aquecimento. Agora N. vai tentar usar Feiteira com outro material resinoso (para que o tijolo não parte) Ele pretende transformar isso em um negócio – estes tijolos têm de ser importados do continente (10 kg = 3 €). Máquinas maiores podem ser comprados a partir de China, estas custam cerca de 4000 €. Rodrigo e ele vão trabalhar em conjunto para ver se dejetos humanos seco também podem ser usado – não é piada ! E., D. e U. teráo um encontro com o Diário de Notícias para apresentar o nosso Manual de Proteção Contra Incêndio para publicação (e talvez também a solução Hibrido). Ervas para MB: U não conseguiu fazer sua apresentação sobre a Madeira ainda, mas MB pediu amostras alguns hervas. Não tão bom: estas ervas podem ser compradas em todo o mundo … V vai adquirir as amostras de Quinta Pedagógica, assim aqui também temos uma indicação de preços.

Vamos também enviar -lhes a nossa Marcela que as mulheres velhas coletam e vendem nas ruas, esta pode ser muito bom e desconhecido para eles.

Cavalinha: há muitas perguntas que o cliente não sabe sobre rabo de cavalo. Até agora, Cavalinha só foi recolhido na natureza e nunca cultivado, o cliente só tem um campo de testes na Hungria, aparentemente não esta feliz com isso.

Outros assuntos: Rodrigo disse que a água perto do mar já está poluído, provavelmente da Meia Serra que começa a vazar toxinas para o solo: um problema para as gerações futuras … Bananas perto do mar em Candelaria já estão sofrendo com as toxinas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panama_disease) E disse que um laboratório público está testando amostras de água de grátis, mas não sabemos se eles gostariam de fazer testes as toxinas os quais o Rodrigo está procurando. Info: Compal está comprando bananas de GESBA por um Sumo Banana. D encontrou esta empresa: http://www.madebiotech.com , uma nova empresa na Zona Franca da Madeira, vamos entrar em contacto com eles para que eles saibam o que estamos a fazer, talvez possamos cooperar.

 Hello Team,

we had an exciting meeting!

  Rodrigo is from Ponta do Sol, he was in the army for eight years, then he went as a volunteer to Haiti and learned there how to build composting toilets (dry sanitation). He now lives here and teaches people about composting human waste for fertilizer, permaculture and a more natural lifestyle – use less, spend less, waste less!

N brought us a brick made of 75% wood chips and 25% paper, he built a simple but effective mechanical machine to press the bricks (100 bricks/hour, he sells such a machine for around 200€). The bricks burn slowly (25 – 30min) and well (best in a rocket stove), with little smoke, and are good for barbecues, lambiques, and heating other systems. Next N will try to use feiteira with another resinous material (to get the brick to hold together). He plans to turn this into a business – bricks like that have to be imported from the mainland (10kg = 3€). Bigger machines can be bought from China, they cost around 4000€.

  Rodrigo and he will work together to see if dry human waste can also be used – no joke!   E,. D. and U. will have a meeting with the Diario de Noticias  to present our Fire Protection Manual for publication (and maybe also the Hybrid solution)   Herbs for MB: Uwe didn’t get to do his Madeira presentation yet, but MB asked for samples (200-300gr, shadow-dried) and prices for several herbs. Not so hot, these herbs can be bought all over the world…V will the samples from Quinta – this way we also have an indication of prices. We shall also send them the  Marcela which the old women collect and sell in the streets, which might be very good and unknown to them

Horsetail: there are a lot of issue the clients doesn’t know. So far, Horsetail has only been collected in the wild and never cultivated, they only have a test field in Hungary, apparently they are not happy with that.

Other stuff:

  Rodrigo said that the water near the sea is already polluted, probably from Meia Serra which starts to leak toxins in to the ground: a problem for generations to come…   Bananas near the sea in Candelaria are suffering from the toxins already (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panama_disease)   E said that a public laboratory is testing water sample for free but we don´t know if they would want to test on the toxins Rodrigo is looking for.
