The Madeira Consorcio

The Consorcio is a “think-tank” which develops ideas for the problems Madeira faces.

We work on ideas that do not require the help of the Government, or subsidies.

The group consists of around 12 members, Madeirans and foreign residents, who are passionate about the island and its future. We meet once a month in Funchal and discuss potential ideas. We occasionally visit interesting places such as printing companies and fire stations to learn how they function and where the problems lie.

Our Mission Statement:

– Cultivate ideas for the island`s society in the areas of innovation, education and civic life.

Gostaria de comprar uma arvore de Anona e ser enviada para a Grecia. E possivel?

Greetings from Canada. I was born in Funchal but have been in Canada for over 50 years. Today I bought an Atemoya but it only reminded me of how much better the Madeiran Anona tastes so I wound up finding your excellent website.

Finding Anonas or Lapas in Canada is like the Holy Grail for me so of course I’d like to find out if you can direct me to some, but more importantly I identified with your mission statement.

I speak Portuguese well but write poorly, but I have technology and analytical skills that may be of use to you so please write back and let me know if I can help in any way.

  thank you for your email!
  I think it would be too difficult to export Anona to Canada. The Anona is an unadulterated fruit so it become ripe too quickly, it would arrive in a mush. You might consider buying/importing Anona Liquor here: https://www.garrafeiranacional.com/en/licor-de-anona-j-faria-filhos.html
  The Consórcio is now more of a think tank for our own group; we have found that the Madeireans are not inclined to take up our ideas for new products or work. But we are constantly evolving maybe we’ll go into a more active role in the future! Please stay in touch with the blog, and if you come over, we’ll meet!
