Tivemos novamente uma discussão interessante, foi uma pena que não participavam outros agricultores!
A Funcho:
A empresa em Machico iria começar a produção de velas, se conseguimos pelo menos 500 kg de plantas secas, isso pode significar uma colheita de 5,000 kg plantas frescas, que podem ser coletados selvagem, ou plantadas em terras marginais; secar essa quantidade preciso muito tempo nas pequenas máquinas que temos disponíveis. 

 

B Menta e Melissa:
Há uma oferta do grossista alemão para comprar a nossa Menta e Melissa, as amostras que enviamos (orgânica ), eram de boa qualidade. A grossista vai fornecer as especificações em breve, eles estão oferecendo contratos agrícolas, com venda garantida a preços fixos.

 

U precisa saber se alguém no grupo,  quer pegar uma dessas opções. V também vai falar com o padre  sobre esse potencial. Se não conseguirmos preencher a solicitação, U irá entregá-lo para AJAMPS, a oportunidade de desenvolver um bom relacionamento para exportação com um grande grossista na Alemanha não deve ser perdida.

 

D vai se reunir com o Sr. Rocha da Silva, um amigo da Secretaria de Agricultura (na quinta dele, aparentemente uma grande propriedade) em breve. D quer discutir o problema árvores em Ribeira Brava.

 

 

 

Boa notícia: a Secretaria de Agricultura tomou a sugestão de D em relação à Feiteira (relatório Diario de 2013/11/27): a partir do próximo ano, a Meia Serra será equipado para queimar Feiteira e madeira, a fim de limpar as florestas e evitar incêndios.

 

A compostagem doméstica: o balde Bokazi (www.bokazi.com.au) com microrganismos está indo bem, D também está interessado em obter o “resultado” para fertilizantes. E disse que o carvão vegetal inoculado com o suco produzido por esses micro-organismos foi usado pelos índios na Amazônia já há milhares de anos para fertilizar sua terra, o resíduo é ainda visível hoje em amostras de solo.

A discussão Contraditório sobre o papel do governo na vida cívica foi adiada para este domingo, 1 de dezembro.

 

O Manual de Proteção contra Incêndios; U tinha outra reunião, a publicação primeira será até o final de janeiro, na ” Revista Mais”, a segunda em meados de abril. U irá enviar-lhe também o híbrido para visualização e publicação. Isto irá aumentar a nossa visibilidade para o público.

 

DV : E vai falar com uma pessoa da família B, para ver se eles estão interessados ​​em tudo em investir em uma nova atração turística para a ilha. U tem outro canal para os potenciais investidores, mas precisa desenvolver um plano de negócios e um folheto (janeiro).

We had an interesting discussion again, it was a pity that no other farmers were there!

 

A Fennel /Funcho:

 

the company in Machico would start the candle production if they get at least 500 kg dried plants, this may mean a harvest of 5000 kg fresh plants, which can be collected wild, or planted on marginal land; plus drying this quantity takes a lot of time in the small machines we have available.

 

B Menta and Melissa:

 

There is a tentative offer from the German wholesaler to buy our Menta and Melissa, the samples we sent  (organic), were of good quality. The Germany wholesaler will be sending the specifications soon; they are offering contract farming, with guaranteed sale at fixed prices.

 

U needs to know if someone in the group, wants to take up one of these options. V will also speak to the Priest  about this potential. If we cannot fill the request, U will hand it on to AJAMPS, the opportunity to develop a good relationship for export with a big wholesaler in Germany must not be lost.

 

D will meet with Sr. Rocha da Silva (in his place, apparently a big estate) soon. He is a friend to the Secretary of Agriculture; D wants to discuss the falling tree problem in Rib Brava. 

 

Good News: the Secretary of Agriculture took up D’s suggestion in regards to Feiteira (Diario report of 27.11.2013): as of next year, Meia Serra will be fitted out to burn Feiteira and wood in order to clean the forests and prevent fires.

 

Home composting: the Bokazi bucket (info on www.bokazi.com.au) with micro-organisms is doing fine, D is also interested in getting the muck for fertilizer. E said that charcoal inoculated with the juice produced by such micro-organisms was used by Indians in the Amazon already thousands of years ago to fertilize their land; the residue is still visible today in ground samples.

Have a look! The founder  moved to Machico recently, D will meet with him and check him out, then we could invite him to the next ToBinG meeting in January

The Contraditório discussion on the role of the Government in civic life has been postponed to this Sunday, Dec 1^st.

 

The Fire Protection and Combat Manual; U had another meeting, the first publication will be by the end of January, in “Revista Mais”, the second one in the middle of April. U will send him also the hybrid for viewing and publication. This will increase our visibility to the public.

 

DV: E will speak to a person   to see if they are interested at all in investing in a new tourist attraction for the island. U has another channel to potential investors but she needs to develop up a business plan and a brochure (January)

 

We shall have our Christmas Dinner on Dec 12. After that, we have a break, we restart our meetings on Jan 9 with ToBinG.
